Society for Education and Technology (SET) was established as a not-for-profit welfare organization with Social Welfare Department of the Govt. of Punjab in Sept 2002, by a few of the PAF Retired Officers headed by Air Marshal (R) Khurshid Anwar Mirza. SET provides (almost) Free I.T. Based Marketable Skills to the deprived youth (including hearing impaired) and subsequently helps them to find suitable employment through SET’s in-house Job Placement Cell. To date, SET has qualified over 5500 trainees.SET is suitably located at the service Road parallel to the canal – between Jail Rd and Zahoor Elahi Rd – in Gulberg II. SET has three labs, with 52   Core–i5 computers for training purposed – backed up by three UPS’s & a stand-by Generator for uninterrupted training. All of the tutorial staff is qualified as Masters in Computer Science. The Basic I.T. Courses include Simple English and Personality Development lectures–in additions to the approved technical syllabus.

SET premises are neat and clean with separate washrooms for girls and boys. All rooms are well lit and fully Air–conditioned. Above all, SET provides conducive environment for training.
